Her entire life, Julie has been involved in all types of arts; whether it was singing, dancing or playing the piano. At the age of 12, she took her first piano lesson. In 1992, she graduated from the University of West Georgia with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Pedagogy and Performance where she studied under the direction of Betty Sue T
Her entire life, Julie has been involved in all types of arts; whether it was singing, dancing or playing the piano. At the age of 12, she took her first piano lesson. In 1992, she graduated from the University of West Georgia with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Pedagogy and Performance where she studied under the direction of Betty Sue Tolbert-Smith. She was a member of the West Georgia College Concert Choir, a member of the Position One Dance Company and was a Gellerstedt Wright Scholar in both piano and composition.

In 1995, she began working in Music Ministry. For over 25 years, Julie has been a Worship Leader for several United Methodist churches. She has directed and was lead singer for the ALL for Him praise band. In 2004, she wrote a cantata, The Baby will show you the way and in 2005, The Matriarchs of Jesus the Son.

She has had the amazing opportunity to sing several times with Bill and Gloria Gather at Christ Church in Nashville under the director Landy Gardner.
After retiring from Music Ministry in 2020, Julie continues to fill in as a church pianist whenever needed.

After college, Julie worked with the West Georgia College Concert band and was a musical accompanist for Carroll County Community Theater. From 1992-1996, she performed in several productions for the community theater; City of Angels, Oklahoma, Smoke on the Mountain and Guy and Dolls. She continues to accompany many different venues.

In 2012, She entered the senior industry as a Life Engagement Director. She received the 2017 Life Engagement Director of the Year. She continues to work with seniors with her music throughout Cobb, Paulding, Douglasville, and Henry counties.
